Here lies an angel, wings tipped by frost
What sweet character was lost?
O poor virginal eyes shut to this world

What is this my eyes see?
What lies here
In blood and tears
Oh heaven! How can this be?

Aurelio: Oh, what have I done..? Good lord--

Terzo: What sweet innocence was lost?
Her blue eyes
Once made me sigh.
Oh heaven! How can this be?

Aurelio: Forgive me, God, I knew no--

Terzo: Your own blood, pure love not to last--
This poor star-crossed pair, two pearls!
What is this, what do my poor eyes see?

One final kiss
I wouldn’t miss
If she were here now
And so, I shall kiss your sweet white brow
